Calling it "Bill Gates" personifies the Microsoft Corporation. It serves MSFT's public relations purposes to always show that face with the glasses.

Resist!  Don't say "Bill Gates" when you mean "Microsoft."

Corporations are not people.  MSFT is not that skinny guy with glasses and a whiny voice and a big ego. It's a transnational corporation with a monopoly and mean lawyers and the best PR flacks available and more money than the Queen.
